S’Mores Brownies

7 Aug

When some of the stylists at the salon asked me to make them some brownies… I knew exactly what recipe to pull out of my pocket…

These. Things. Are. Awesome. Oh my goodness…

Graham crackery crust with brownie middle and chocolate chips and marshmallows warmly toasted on top. You have to make these. Now. Hurry!

S’Mores Brownies
Recipe from Picky Palate

For Crust:
7 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 1/2 c graham cracker crumbs
2 tbsp sugar

For Brownie:
8 tbsp (1 stick) unsalted butter
4 oz unsweetened chocolate
1 c light brown sugar
3/4 c sugar
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
4 eggs
1 c all-purpose flour

For Topping:
1 c semi-sweet chips or chunks
3-4 c mini marshmallows

1) Preheat oven to 325F. Line 8×8 pan with foil and grease inside with spray.
2) Combine melted butter, graham cracker, and sugar. Press into bottom of pan. Bake 15-20 minutes.
3) Melt butter and chocolate together. Add sugars, vanilla, and salt. Beat in eggs until batter is glossy. Stir in flour. Pour into crust and bake 35-40 minutes. It should be a little gooey still on the inside but not too much.
4) Turn up heat to broil. Sprinkle with chocolate chips and marshmallows. Broil 6-8 inches from the heat source. This should take about 2 minutes… for me it took a matter of seconds… so keep an eye on it.
5) Cool for a few minutes. Remove from pan and place on cutting board to cut

*Use a wet, sharp knife to cut. Get it wet before each cut.

Eat one. Or two. Or three… You wont regret it.
